Why does rain fall from clouds?

Clouds are made up of tiny water droplets. When these droplets grow, they eventually become too heavy to stay suspended in the sky and fall to the ground as rain. As more and more droplets join together they become too heavy and fall from the cloud as rain. Warm air can hold more moisture than cool air.

Why are clouds bright at night?

Clouds scatter the artificial light coming from the ground. They have the biggest impact on the night sky.

Why do clouds float?

Clouds do exist, and they do float in the air. The warm, moist air is less dense than the cold air above it, so that warm air rises2. The warm air cools as it comes into contact with the cooler air above. Cold air cannot hold as much moisture as warm air: the vapor has to condense into a liquid. And another question, what does falling through a cloud feel like? First of all, clouds contain moisture. Falling through rain feels like you're falling through hail. Falling through hail feels like BBs. Even non-precipitating clouds are wet, so you end up with moisture on your goggles and face and, often, get pretty soaked.

Consequently, can you stand on clouds?

Nope. You can't sit on a cloud, because there's really nothing there. What you think of as a cloud is basically just air. It looks the way it looks because there are many, many, many tiny droplets of water suspended in the air, which refract the light and make them look white (or gray, depending on conditions). Can clouds fall on earth? The height of clouds is determined in a variety of ways by weather observers, but clouds DO float at the ground and when they do, they are referred to as fog. Clouds consist of tiny water droplets (or ice crystals) and, like all objects, they do fall, but at a very slow rate.

Why does the rain make me happy?

Some psychologists say our brain craves sensory input. The sound of rain or a thunder storm calms us down. Sun doesn't do anything to diminish sensory input or keep our brains stimulated.

Are clouds heavy or light?

Clouds may look so light and fluffy, but the fact is that they are actually quite heavy. New Delhi: Have you ever wondered how much does a cloud weigh? As per research, an average cumulus cloud weighs an incredible 500,000 kg (or 1.1 million pounds!)
