Why angels are not to be worshiped?
Angels are not be worshipped because they are witnesses to Jesus (Revelation 19:10). This is repeated in Revelation 22:9. The angel says he is a fellow servant with John and the prophets. This second verse goes further, as the angel groups himself "with those who keep the words of this book" ? with Christian believers.
Subsequently, is believing in saints a sin?
Yes it is a sin to worship and pray to saints. Saints are just human beings not a God. Like God said "thou shalt not have any Gods before me because I am a jealous God." Is praying the rosary a sin? It is not a sin not to pray the rosary. You are not obliged to do so. It's an optional devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, just like your praying your novena to the Sacred Heart.
