Does the past exist?

Events in the past and in the future do not exist. The only reality, the only thing that is real, is the present. This idea is called Presentism. This idea, however, runs into some serious problems when you start taking into account relativity.

Does past and future exist?

The past and future are only concepts used to describe the real, isolated, and changing present. The model is difficult to reconcile with accepted scientific theories such as the theory of relativity.

One may also ask is universe an illusion?

A new theory now suggests that the accelerating expansion of the universe is merely an illusion, akin to a mirage in the desert. In 1929, cosmologists discovered that the universe is expanding - that space-time, the fabric of the cosmos, is stretching. How could time not exist? The problem, in brief, is that time may not exist at the most fundamental level of physical reality. As Rovelli explains it, in quantum mechanics all particles of matter and energy can also be described as waves. And waves have an unusual property: An infinite number of them can exist in the same location.

Can time be stopped?

The simple answer is, "Yes, it is possible to stop time. All you need to do is travel at light speed." Special Relativity pertains specifically to light. The fundamental tenet is that light speed is constant in all inertial reference frames, hence the denotation of "c" in reference to light. Does time create gravity? Yes. Time causes gravity. Gravity is not a force, it is an effect of spacetime curvature.

Can something exist and not exist at the same time?

Physical things can exist and not exist at the same time with the help of quantum mechanical uncertainty. All that can be is in the measure that it can be, and not the rest.

What does Einstein say about time?

In the Special Theory of Relativity, Einstein determined that time is relative-in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference. Is reality an illusion? The further quantum physicists peer into the nature of reality, the more evidence they are finding that everything is energy at the most fundamental levels. Reality is merely an illusion, although a very persistent one. What else can we do in the face of what scientists have discovered about reality? It's unbelievable!
