Can dogs and humans be soulmates?
Many people have a soul connection to their pets and animals. Sometimes this connection is so strong, when the pet dies, the person dies shortly after, or the other way around. It is as if the human-animal connection is so bonded, one cannot live without the unconditional love and nurturing of the other.
Do soulmates marry?
There is a sense of familiarity and mutuality in a marriage to a soul mate as well as in long-lasting marriages. Soulmate marriages can be healthy, passionate and harmonious. Soulmate partners can easily get a lot done by working together. Couples who are soul mates often take joy in watching the growth of one another. "A karmic relationship is one that's filled with all-consuming passion but is extremely difficult to maintain," explains Sanam Hafeez, PsyD, a neuropsychologist and faculty member at Columbia University. These relationships aren't meant to last, she says, but they're learning experiences for those who have them.

"They connect fervently on every level of being," clinical psychologist and relationship expert Dr. Sue Johnson, a clinical psychologist and author of Love Sense, said that a soulmate also knows how to respond to your emotional signals.
