Why do I love others more than myself?
Caring about others more than yourself is an indication of people pleasing. You have been taught that putting yourself first is anathema to receiving love. Being in service to self is very different from self-serving. Caring for others is self-serving whilst being in service to self is compassionate.
Are you supposed to love yourself more than anyone else?
Someone else loving you will always be more powerful than you loving yourself. It's easier to love someone else than ourselves, no matter how much work we've done on us. You would do so much more for them than yourself, but that doesn't mean you don't love yourself. It means you're human.
