Actually, when two laser beams (or any other kinds of light for that matter) collide, they do not stop each other. In fact, usually they behave as though the other is not there at all. This is because light is a wave, and usually waves cross each other without interacting.

In short, what you see in the mirror is nothing but a reflection and that may just not be how people see you in real life. In real life, the picture may be completely different. All you have to do is stare at a selfie camera, flip and capture your photo. That's what you really look like. In respect to this, what happens if you stare at yourself? In normal observers, gazing at one's own face in the mirror for a few minutes, at a low illumination level, produces the apparition of strange faces. Observers see distortions of their own faces, but they often see hallucinations like monsters, archetypical faces, faces of relatives and deceased, and animals.
