How do you write a nasty letter?

Write clearly and concisely. Don't let your feelings get in the way of the letter. Take the facts and why they upset you and why you feel like you were mistreated. Ask for a conversation to work things out, or suggest a solution.

In respect to this, how do you check up on someone who is grieving?

Acknowledge their loss ("I'm so sorry to hear about Angie!") Say the decedent's name (this is a form of validation of their grief) Offer condolences/express sympathy ("I can't imagine what you're going through") Support them (offer to help, thinking of you/praying for you, etc)
